M31 - Andromeda Galaxy - Outer Rim

Ah those bastards in the outer rim in Star Wars! They are exposed at last.

This picture of M31 (the Andromeda Galaxy)  was made while it was still low over the eastern horizon on July 27th @ 00:19. It is a combination of 42 20 seconds frames for a total of 14 minutes. As for the previous picture (M82), there was a quasi full moon in the sky. The center is over-exposed but that is the cost to get to see the outer rim. :)

That's another that I will wish to try again! :)

  1. I love how wispy the limb of the galaxy is... Great shot.
